Jerora, which was established as orangutan school, will be developed as an ecotourism and environmental education center. SOC will build some supporting facilities for Jerora. This includes the 1st guesthouse construction in Jerora Forest School area, which is funded by donations.

The foundation and structure for the guesthouse has been built. Beside the guesthouse SOC also develops an organic farming program. This program has yielded results. Spinach and water spinach has been harvested this month. The harvest will be used as orangutan food and also to fulfill the caretakers’ vegetable needs in Jerora Forest School and Sintang office.
